Eureka recognised among Italian excellences with a dedicated postage stamp

A symbol of Italian excellence, now travelling the world in a new way.

On September 3, 2026, a very special piece of Eureka’s history was unveiled: the Eureka Mignon was featured on a dedicated Italian postage stamp, as part of the new series celebrating “The Excellences of the Italian Production System and Made in Italy.”

Issued by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the series celebrates six companies and brands that represent the quality, tradition and innovation of Italian production: Eureka Grinders, Birra Forst, Ferrero, Oro Saiwa, Patatine San Carlo and Saquella Caffè.

For Eureka, this recognition carries a particularly meaningful significance. It is a celebration not only of a product, but of a story that began more than a century ago and continues to bring Italian technology, design and coffee culture to markets around the world.

A small stamp telling a bigger story

At the centre of the Eureka stamp is a reinterpretation of the Eureka Mignon, one of the company’s most representative products.

The grinder is surrounded by coffee beans and dynamic geometric shapes, creating a visual language that evokes the aroma, material and ritual of coffee while highlighting the design and innovation behind the product.

The choice of Mignon is especially significant.

Born from the ambition to bring professional-level grinding performance into the homes of coffee lovers, the Mignon has evolved over the years into an icon of Eureka’s identity — combining functionality, technology and Italian design in a compact format.

Today, its story extends far beyond Italy.

Made in Italy, made to go further

Eureka’s roots are deeply connected to its territory.

Founded in 1920 by Tuscan entrepreneur Aurelio Conti, Conti Valerio Srl has built its history around the production of coffee grinders, developing the Eureka brand into an internationally recognised name in both the home and professional coffee sectors.

The company’s growth has been driven by continuous investment in innovation, people, automation and production development, both in Italy and in international markets. In 2025, Conti Valerio recorded €65 million in revenue, with 98% generated by export activities, and produced more than 220,000 coffee grinders during the year.

This international dimension is an important part of what the recognition represents.

The Italian Ministry’s initiative celebrates companies that have contributed to building the story of Made in Italy — not simply as a place of production, but as a style and a culture of making recognised around the world.

For Eureka, this means bringing something distinctly Italian to coffee lovers wherever they are: the combination of technology, design, craftsmanship and passion that lies behind every grinder.

One million Mignon — one remarkable year

The postage stamp arrives at a particularly symbolic moment for Eureka.

2026 is the year in which the one-millionth Mignon was produced.

Reaching one million units is a milestone that reflects the extraordinary journey of a product that has grown from a grinder designed for the home into one of the most recognisable expressions of the Eureka brand.

It is also a story of people.

Behind every Mignon are the people who design it, develop it, manufacture it, test it and bring it to coffee lovers around the world. The milestone is therefore not simply a number, but the result of years of shared knowledge, dedication and continuous innovation.

And receiving recognition as an Italian excellence in the same year makes the moment even more meaningful.

As Maurizio Fiorani, Managing Director of Conti Valerio Srl, explains:

“The Ministry has confirmed that Conti Valerio, through the Eureka brand, is an Italian excellence. It is a recognition that fills us with pride and arrives in a particularly significant year for our company, the year in which we produced the one-millionth Mignon.”

A recognition of yesterday, today and tomorrow

A postage stamp may be small, but what it represents is much bigger.

For Eureka, it brings together over a century of history, a century of Italian manufacturing and a constantly evolving vision of coffee grinding.

It celebrates where the company comes from, the people who have shaped its journey and the Mignon that has carried that story into homes and coffee communities around the world.

But above all, it is a reminder that Made in Italy is not only about heritage.

It is about continuing to innovate, create and look forward, while staying connected to the values and craftsmanship that made the journey possible.

From Sesto Fiorentino to the world, the Eureka story continues to travel.

And now, in its own small way, the Mignon has become part of the story of Italian excellence.
